A PRADO-SPECIFIC PATHWAY
A Japanese Prado, chosen around how you will use it.

2. Assess suitable options
All Four Imports can review available options and, where appropriate, help source and assess suitable Japanese-market Prados for you to consider. See how Japanese vehicle imports work from source to road-ready.
3. Coordinate the journey
Once a proposed vehicle and pathway are agreed, All Four coordinates the process and can arrange agreed servicing, accessories and preparation through the Arundel workshop.
FEATURES FROM OUR TEAM’S WALKTHROUGH
What our team shows on a 1994 JDM Prado.
The details below are from our team’s walkthrough of a particular 1994 Japanese-market Prado. Equipment, condition and specification can vary by vehicle, so use this as a guide for the conversation rather than a list of standard features.
Engine and transmission
The walkthrough identifies the filmed Prado as using Toyota’s 3.0L 1KZ-TE turbo-diesel. It also explains that early JDM Prados can be found with either a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual transmission.
4WD controls
The filmed vehicle has electronic front hub engagement, a 4WD control and high, neutral and low range settings, so the driver can select four-wheel-drive functions without manually locking hubs.
Comfort and suspension
The walkthrough highlights the coil-sprung rear and solid axle setup for comfort and articulation. The filmed Prado also has electronically adjustable suspension modes, although it has been modified with a lift kit.
SX Wide body details
This example is an SX Wide, identified by its wheel-arch flares and wider stance. The walkthrough also notes that narrow-body examples exist without those flares.
Cabin and cargo
The walkthrough shows power mirrors, power windows with driver controls, wood-grain cabin trim, Toyota barn doors, a five-seat layout, square cargo space and an underfloor storage compartment. Five- and eight-seat configurations can exist.
Touring potential
The walkthrough points out engine-bay space for a dual-battery setup and 12V accessories. Workshop preparation and accessories can be planned around the individual Prado and the way you intend to use it.

WHAT TO CONSIDER
Choose the Prado that suits your plans.
Japanese-market Prados vary by year, grade, drivetrain, transmission, specification and condition. The right fit depends on the individual vehicle and what you expect from it. We can help you weigh the practical details before committing, including your touring setup, passengers, towing needs, maintenance expectations and preferred workshop enhancements.
For touring or remote-travel planning, the vehicle itself is only the start. The All Four Imports Arundel workshop can organise agreed servicing and upgrades before handover. You can also explore How It Works to see how a tailored sourcing brief becomes a managed journey.
